About The Opportunity

We’re looking for students who would like a placement focused on driving our creative digital marketing campaigns forward.  Working alongside our content creation function, you would be involved in the management of our social media accounts and our email marketing campaigns.

Social Media Management
As a brand new start up you will be instrumental in how our brand is seen as well as how we turn up in our online communities and engage with them. Working alongside our content creation team, you'll be working on the following:
- Creating a winning social media strategy to grow our audience and their engagement. The channels you will focus on are our corporate Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, as well as the CEO's personal Instagram and LinkedIn accounts.
- You'll get a chance to present this strategy to the team. Once you get sign off, based on this strategy you will put together a 6 months social media calendar in Later. Posts will be engaging using graphics you design and reels you create.
- To grow an engaged community, you'll come up with innovative ideas to get our audience engaging with us. You'll also be answering DMs and comments.
- You'll be able to put your analytical skills to work as you'll be analysing the performance of all social media channels and engagement and suggesting optimisation or pivots in weekly meetings with the team.  

Email Marketing
As part of this opportunity,  we would like you to improve our email marketing automation as well as our email campaigns to better promote our new brand and ensure our customers (cycling clubs and cyclists) stay in touch with our company updates. Working alongside the content creation function of the business you’ll have the chance to hone your skills and learn more about working in digital marketing whilst adding real value to the business. Here are a few of the things you'll be working on:

- Creating a winning email strategy to grow our email list to 1) keep our readers engaged and excited through newsletters 2) to help keep customers going through our sales loop and ultimately converting.
- You'll get the chance to present this to the team. Once you get sign off, you'll be designing email templates using graphics, personalisation and any other advanced features you'd like to try out.
- Templates ready, you'll be writing newsletters and the copy for the activation emails based on your strategy document.
- You'll want to proofread these emails for clarity, grammar and spelling. And you'll be integral to the team for reducing unsubscribes by responding to customer replies.
- You'll be flexing your tech skills. You will be migrating our Hubspot and google sheet data to Active Campaign. And through Active Campaign you'll be keeping our email database up to date.
-  You'll be able to put your analytical skills to work as you'll be analysing the performance of all email campaigns and suggesting optimisation strategies in weekly meetings with the CEO.
